We first met in high school back in 2004, just two teenagers who felt something, an instant connection if I can say, even if we didn’t quite know what to do with it at the time. Life, of course, had its own plans. We grew up, went our separate ways, him to Australia, me to South Africa and found ourselves in different life paths , different seasons, and different continents.

But somehow… we never really lost each other. Between emails, messages, and the occasional “Hey, how are you?” (which, let’s be honest, he sent more than I did 😄), he stayed right there, consistently popping up, checking in, and yes… keeping a close eye on things. Both of us being loyal Liverpool fans only made it easier for him there was always a match, a score, or a reason for him to start a conversation. 20 years the man was consistent!!!

Deep down, we always knew there was something real between us. It just needed the right time. And when life finally aligned, and the moment came where we were both ready… we chose each other fully, intentionally, and without hesitation.

What started as a quiet connection all those years ago has grown into a love that feels like home,this time, with intention, courage, and a love that had patiently waited its turn. And now, after all the distance, the timing, and the journey… we are finally walking into our forever together. 🤍
